Kiprusoff's Jersey Retirement Night Announced

Calgary Flames to Honor Legendary Goaltender

March 2 Ceremony to Raise Jersey to the Rafters

The Calgary Flames have announced that Miikka Kiprusoff's jersey retirement night will take place on March 2, 2024. The ceremony will honor the legendary Finnish goaltender, who spent 11 seasons with the Flames and helped lead them to the Stanley Cup Finals in 2004. Kiprusoff's jersey, No. 34, will be raised to the rafters at the Scotiabank Saddledome, becoming the seventh jersey retired by the Flames.

Kiprusoff joined the Flames in 2003 and quickly established himself as one of the top goaltenders in the NHL. He was named a Vezina Trophy finalist four times and won the award in 2006. He also led the Flames to the President's Trophy in 2006 and was named to the NHL All-Star Game five times.

Kiprusoff retired from the NHL in 2013 and was inducted into the Finnish Hockey Hall of Fame in 2014. He is considered one of the greatest goaltenders in Flames history and his jersey retirement is a fitting tribute to his legacy.
