Mr. Wild Thang Crowned World's Ugliest Dog 2022

Pet Pekingese Wins $7,500 Prize and TV Appearance

After a Two-Year Hiatus, Competition Returns with a Bang

Following a two-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the World's Ugliest Dog competition returned in 2022, and Mr. Wild Thang, an eight-year-old Pekingese, emerged victorious as the winner of this year's edition.

Mr. Wild Thang's owner will receive a $7,500 check and will be flown to New York City for a special television appearance next week.

The competition, held in Petaluma, California, was judged by NBC's Kerry Sanders, who helped crown Mr. Wild Thang as the winner. The contest judges multiple canines based on their unconventional physical attributes and unique personalities.

The winner of the 2024 World's Ugliest Dog contest has yet to be announced, but the competition promises to be just as entertaining and heartwarming as this year's event.
